Meeting Minutes 11/18/2009

Hi everyone!

No minutes were taken at our last meeting, because we had the *wonderful* guest speakers John and Beth Rivers.

Their presentation was incredibly informative, and they provided everyone present with a handout full of tips and advice about teaching music in the schools.

If you would like to see this handout, talk to any of the officers and we will get you a copy within a few days!

Our next meeting, December 9th, will be about OMEA convention. We hope to see you all there! :)

Christmas Tree Decoration!

Monday, 4:00, Music Education suite, Kent Campus - Decorate our Christmas tree - Yummy Cookies and Milk provided. Bring an ornament for the tree, or autograph one provided. Everyone is invited! OCMEA sponsored.

MEETING NOVEMBER 18TH

KSU OCMEA Meeting - Wednesday- 7:00-8:30 pm. Speakers: John and Beth Rivers, band directors from Canton South HS and proud KSU alumni. Meeting room TBA. Both began their careers in military bands before coming to KSU to complete their music ed degrees. They incorporate music technology throughout their classes and ensembles. What they will discuss is applicable to general and choral music as well.
