1. OMEA Convention January 28-30 in Cinci: We will have 5 rooms reserved paid for by the School of Music. Your cost will be $30 registration, sharing of gas and parking costs, and food. Dr. Grutzmacher needs to know if you plan to attend by Monday, Dec. 17. You will need to register and can do this on-line at www.omea_ohio2.org. Deadline for on-line registration is January 15. E-mail Dr. G at pgrutzma@kent.edu.
2. All Music Students are invited to Stark Campus for a big OCMEA Party on Dec. 18th in the Campus Center. The party will start around 5 p.m. and will go till they kick us out There will be food, drinks, and rock band(2 sets) available. Bring a covered dish main course. There will be lasagna. Email jpastern@kent.edu if you plan to attend, need car pooling and/or will bring food.
3. SERVICE PROJECT: We are planning to perform Christmas carols at the Tallmadge MRDD on Thursday, Dec. 17. Meet at the lounge area at 2:00 with instruments (or sing!). We will briefly rehearse and then car pool to the center. We play at 3:30 pm. Please dress in KSU apparel. Wear your Christmas hats! It will be a Kodak moment!
